when you say cam timing do you mean lining up the timing belt? or do you mean the position of the Cam angle sensor?

I mean the timing belt being out of time. one or 2 teeth off can create a hell of a noise, and 3 or more is almost certain to bend valves.

Well I figured out MY problem, sad to say its unrelated. Mine was only making noise in park, if I put the tranny in nuetral or drive, or reverse, the noise goes away, so its coming from my trans I guess. Whatever, its just another thing to add to weird shit my auto is doing.
