i took my bov and recirculated it to my intake pipe. but i lost all the bov sound and i know you can still get it after recirculating. what do i have to do. like can i get a picture of the intake silencer and k&n filter and w.e will give me the sound back. thanks

okay so my bpv isnt making the noise my bov used to. i just recirculated it and i was wondering if i changed the intake filter if that would change the sound at all and make it louder? also if i cut a hole under it so the air dam would work? please help me out because i know you can still get the sound with recirculating your bov.

No, changing the intake filter wont change the sound or make it louder. Also, cutting a hole "under the air dam" wouldnt change the sound comming out of your blow off valve.

If you want more sound of a re-circulated bov I'd suggest an aftermarket intake.

Well if you were venting the bov before an you just recirculated it then that's why the sound is different. If you want to increase the sound of the bov you can get hard intercooler piping, try diffrent intake/filter combos and if you want the best sound buy a GM/MAF setup and vent properly.

i have a aftermarket intake with the k&n filter. i recirculated it back into my intake pipe. if i got a new o2 housing and downpipe, would that help?
No, that would not help.

The above post is correct. The bottom line is that it is not going to sound the same if it is re-circulated, and to properly vent it you need the GM MAF setup.

Yes, with hard intercooler piping your bov sound will be much louder. You can also up the boost a few, that helps as well.

thanks alot. i did another thread cause people were talking about my maf and i dont wanna mess with that. so i was gonna start a thread about just the hard ic piping. but anyways thanks. im running 13 psi . what can the stock turbo handle.. 15psi?

Stock turbo isn't the best and very inefficient at high boost levels. I say set the boost to 16 psi max.
Regardless of whatever boost number you dial in, it will just spike it and come right back down to 9-11 psi.

well you will never get a recirc. bov to be as loud as one vented to atmosphere. what fmic or piping you get is going to depend on what turbo you want. and it looks like you will need some more upgrades before your ready for that. I would recommend not worrying about how loud it is, and focus on maint. for your car and after that getting the upgrades you want.

If you dont have a cone filter that will help alot. But you should be worrying about how loud your BOV is, its not for the sound.
