i found out that ngk doesn't make the bpr7es plugs anymore. what other plug can i use that is one step colder then the oem plugs like the bpr7es. what plugs should i use now?? i was also wondering if the magnecor plug wires are better to get in the 8.5 or the 10.0 size?? are they even worth the price??

If you really can't get BPR7ES, how about BP7ES? Those are stocked locally around here! They work fine, but they may generate more RFI (which can interfere with improperly shielded electronic equipment such cheap radios, etc.)

I'm running accel wires for a year now and they work great, lower resistance than ngk or magnacore and at a great price.

bpr7es plugs are very available, part number 2023. or you can get br7es plugs, same as bpr but not a projected tip, a little less prone to detonation but do not last as long.

What parts store told you that? Go in and smack them for being lazy/stupid and stop giving them money.

BPR7ES plugs are still widely used in Honda OEM not just automotive, they use the plugs in generators, lawnmowers, powerwashers, and boat motors. I have all 4 of the latter and they all use the same plug.

aren't these the stock evo plugs?? thats how i always get mine.. i go to autozone and tell them i want the plugs off a 2003 evo..

Yes, stock '03 evo plugs are the BPR7ES. Also, parts stores can cross the NGK #, which is BPR7ES to the the store part number, which is 2023. So you don't have to know the part number.

i work an an auto parts store and we still carry the BPR7ES plugs, my warehouse is overstocked with em and every branch of this store except for only a few has at least 8 in stock and as 1SloColt said, part number 2023..whoever told you that plug is no longer, should no longer work at an auto parts store..

Also, for future reference (for anyone who's still having trouble finding them) you can click the link that DSM90AWD left, then click the link at the bottom "List applications for part number BPR7ES".

So when the parts houses tell you they can't find those plugs, just tell them you need new plugs for your 1980 Lamborghini Countach or your 1991 Maserati Spyder, etc. :dsm:
