okay here's the problem.......

at 1 psi, my bov flutters kinda loud not really loud but noticeable .... if i boost to 15 psi, there is no Flutters at all........ all i heard is just like a 'Woooshhh'.... sounds perfect,.....

is this normal or not normal?

thanks....

well, i heard compressor surge/ fluttering are bad for turbo... and could destroy the bearing.... is that correct..???

That is what they say. But, tons of guys in Australia run what they call "dose pipes" that amplify the flutter sound. Some have been running them for years with no issues for the turbo bearings. So, I guess it is more of a preference. If the MFG recommends a BOV, I go with that.

Compressor surge is very bad, but from what I understand from reading through the flame wars and intelligent posts, the only compressor surge/fluttering that is noticibly damaging is under full boost when the air kinda gets packed up in the intake piping because the engine just can't suck enough of it in causing the air to go back through the turbo. I really don't think with aftermarket BOV's you can prevent BOV flutter below like 5 psi unless you want it to leak. Synapse's BOV being the exception.

If that happens you have a problem.

not that kind of flutter in the video... my car flutters after i released/closed the throttle..... on the video, the seems kinda unstable.... but mine pretty stable...

btw, your eclipse looks sick.... nice...!!! i really like black on black..... i wish mine was black....

Mine flutters when im not completely on the throttle. im running 7lbs. It slightly flutters at 7psi. its normal.
