Ok I know this is simple but it is escaping me at the moment what does adjusting the soft/hard setting do. Let's say mine is set mostly soft and I turn it in 6 or 7turns what's it gunna do different? Oh and its a greddy type s.

Setting it too hard will probably give you some flutter

Usually they suggest only doing partial turns or limited number of turns. Reason is when you buy a new one, it is set to the factory minimum, and you can go up from there. Not sure what to do when you buy one second hand. :/

I've been told to pop off the recirculation tube when the car is idling and put the screw to it's loosest setting. Then start tightening while watching the diaphragm. When it stops fluttering open, go one turn past that and it should be good.

As I said, this is just what I've been told to do. Don't know if it's right or not.

And as far as sound is concerned, worry more about having your car run right.

cool thanks for the link Thats pretty much what i did. I adjusted it till it fluttered then backed it off some so it didnt.
Thanks again
