I have a greddy type rs bov and when i lift off the gas at low rpm, I get surge. Since I had the car, the nut on top of the bov has been missing and I would like to stiffen it. To do so, Do I need to just turn the screw on the top? or do i need to tighten the Allen screws around the bov? I'm assuming since the nut is missing the bov is on the softest setting? I'm running a to4e right now at 8-9 lbs. thanks.

anybody

To tighten it you only need the nut on top of the bov, but if your diaphragm in the bov is leaky then you need a new one, also, I highly doubt you're truly surging, its just the sound of the bov.
