i want to know whats the easyest and best bov for 1gen (94 tsi) :talon: and is does it make that wwwooossshhh sound. does the greedy type s make that sound

The stock blow off valve works really well and it holds really good amts of boost. If you want it to make the woosh sound there's a way to make it whoosh noticeably after recircing it becuz venting is extremely bad

Heres what you do

Take of your stock bov and get a metal drill bit, drill holes in the bottom above the diaghram then you should do the crush mod so that your ensured a steady hold in boost. This makes it so that when your bov releases the air flows through the holes, drill as many as you want but make them small and make sure not to hit the rod or the diaphragm. I did it on my 1st gen and it sounds pretty good, try drilling different amounts of holes for a different sound.

After that you have 2 options, You can recirc the bov to the intake or you can plug it By putting a hose on the intake nipple, and the t- connecter for the bov and putting a screw in the end of both of them

Have fun

thanks :thumb: rickyiac for the info, but I have a question or two. where can i go to find out how to crush my bov???? and then where do i drill the holes on my bov (bottem/top,on the big round part on the top part of the bov etc...)how big of holes 1/8" inch or smaller??? :talon:

What? Are you suggesting the creation of boost/vacuum leaks?

Where can you learn to do the bov mods?

I know what you mean! I do it all the time now after getting my gm maf in. I heart venting. :thumb:

If you have a GM MAF then there is no reason NOT to vent (unless you wanna be quiet but what fun is that  ), but since you have the stock MAS (I assume) then just keep the stock BOV but if you want a louder sound the GReddy Type-S is the loudest recirc BOV in my opinion. Dont do that drilling thing tho, that is pretty much venting and i think it would cause vacuum leaks.

whats going on guys  thanks for all the replies. so i should go with the greedy type s bov. now how loud is it. am i going to scare old people and kids walking down the street???? i want wwwwwwwwwwoooooooosssssssshhhhhhh!!!!!!
thanks
