bout to race my stupid friend

Hey i was just wondering if anyone thinks its possible for me to beat my friends auto 2001 v6 mustang. I have a manual 98 rs. The only mods i've done was a AEM CAI. My friends car is stock. Do you think I can beat him? any advice?

i think the only think you got on him is the manual and maybe weight but he has more power, but im not sure, if you had turbo it would be you hands down, . My friend has a V6 maxima and he can beat on v6 stangs with his stock 4 door, thats about all i know on v6 stangs.

yea thats what i was thinkin, i'd have a slight advantage with manual.

I'm an auto, and i can pretty much take them. Usually off the start they get me, but once i get to about 30-40mph that's when my car gets a good kick and it's smooth sailing from there.

there is a v6 mustang around here, he has exhaust and he is manual and i raped him twice, one before i got my header, one after the one after was dirty style. He tried to race my friends wrx after he lsot to me........guess that shows u how stupid he is . He is all show, he tells everyone its a GT altho u can easily tell its not, he did a dual exhaust conversion, a molded on civic body kit, some rims, headlights n tail lights. Get this he has decals on the side of his car, i donthave a prob w/ that, but he has a sparco decal n he has stock seats . DOMESTIC RICER!

anyways back to the point, yea u should be able to take him, have fun

Let us know if you win or not, dont have a problem with the domestics around here as they are all driven by older people who I dont see very often. I live in a town witha pop of 10k

i raced one stock and got em by three car lengths, didnt hit the shifts that great either had only had the car four days so you should be fine.

they're slower than moleasses. I know a v6 auto that loses to elantras...old 130hp preludes..cavaliers etc.

dont underestimate them tho! my friend has a 2001 manuel v6 stang, i think its a factory freak, but it is fast as hell. i sorta raced him once, and i stopped after 2nd gear cause my girlfriend was in the car and i thought it was going to get ugly. his back bumper was about even with my front, and he was gaining. so dont underestimate them, they can be fast.

I have a 98 talon n/t 5 speed with aem intake and a hayame muffler thats is\t and i kill v6 stangs all the time havent lost once to one. But thats just my experience

hmmm it seemed pretty fast, but that was before my intake and exaust... maybe i should race him again. i dunno he seemed like he was gonna take it, and he also is faster than my friends 3000GT, but i dunno maybe ill try that again.
