nope not really, the LNF turbo motor is a filled in version of the 2.4 with oil squirters and forged components.

I'm sorry you started young. Debt is not a good thing to start your life out with.

I'm a Dave Ramsey fan and don't believe in loans on cars. If you can't pay cash for it you don't need it. Just some food for thought.

If you got it for 10,400 and it's on a 48month loan @ 6.5% intrest plus add in the sales tax if they rolled that in there for ya. You're probably around a $290 monthly payment correct? You'll end up paying around 15k for that $10,000 car.

What's the insurance like on that thing? Especially at your age?

Yep once you're out in the world things will change... That's why I drive a paid off cheap/fun/fast/stress relieving DSM.

The loan is through my parents and is 0%, Honestly i dont remember what the payment is because right now im paying way over it trying to get it payed down.

Exactly, nicer is nicer. Interior wise the Slowbalt is nicer. Exterior wise, a good clean 2GB wins it hands down by FAR. Don't get all butt hurt. This is a DSM enthusiast forum, where we talk about DSM's, and DSM's, and guess what? DSM's. Of course we aren't going to like it if you come in here saying some slowbalt "you" bought is nicer than all DSM's everywhere, period. Also, it is annoying how you posted the same set of pics twice, with only a few that are different.

Do the same thing on any forum though. Go to slowbaltforums.com and tell them your selling your Slowbalt for a DSM, and that the DSM is much nicer than any Slowbalt can ever be, and watch how they react.

Same exact reactions, I assure you. My advice to you is stop acting like a 16 year old(LOL) and buck up a bit. Not everyone is going to just LOVE your car as much as you do. That's the hard facts about life, sorry to tell you.

Also, I laughed how your trying to say people are shooting off at the mouth, yet here you go making all these claims and reasons why your car is nicer than a DSM. Teapot calling the kettle black, mm?

They arent the same pics look again ,

And i have been on the cobalt forms way before i bought one and they had nothing but good things to say about my DSM because they know fast is fast and the talon is fast.

He's mad at my Dolphin picture LOL.

You got to understand that everyone has different tastes. That's why the whole world drives different kinds of cars. Some people like cobalts and minivans, Some like sports cars, trucks, motorcycles SOME like lowriders, donk's, muscle cars, military trucks and the list goes on. That's why we all drive different makes and models....we are all different.

I will never think a cobalt is nicer than any 4g63 DSM. You MAY think it's "nicer" but That's your opinion. You need to shuffle on over to Cacbalt.net where everyone will love your new Cacbolt.

I thought your pic was sorta funny if you must know LOL, And agree with everybody has different tastes, But i expected more respect then im getting.

I kinda like Slowbalt, better. :p Just kinda rolls off the tongue, you know? I do think your dolphin pic got to him though. Oh well, can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen right? :D

:dsm::talon::laser: Forever.

I jokingly call it the slobalt on a daily bias

Amen, brother. You give me hope for kids your age, well done. :D

On that note, your saying your new Cobalt would be nicer than a mint 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454, with the red and black stripes? The Chevelle is a 37 year old car, so your brand new Cobalt blows it out of the water, right? ROFL

Thats allot different, I dont think you guys understand what i mean by "nice" Im not saying better in every way, Im saying like has nice leather interior, Pioneer sound system, 5 star crash test ratings etc.

The new Turbo SS is nice, the supercharged one I never cared for. That said, I would defiantly buy a SS turbo model for a daily driver. Car and driver I think it was, was claiming it was hands down one of the best handling FWD car ever. Hell it actually BEAT the Evo X around there test track by like half a sec.

So did the ss/sc, The ss/tc just beat it by more.

I think its pretty bad when the colbat SS 08-09 is one of the fastest FWD cars around a track. That American car can even handle better than the little miss piggy EVO X, around a track that is.

Also to the OP the LSJ Motor(supercharged Ecotec) and LNF motor(turbo ecotec) have about as much in common as the 4G63 and the 4B11. They are completely different motors and ECU's. the LNF has VVT, Direct Injection, Gen II block. different heads, ETC. The best thing about the LNF equipped cars is factory wideband sensors. ECU can keep its AFR with added mods!

I wouldn't sell my DSM to get one, but i wouldn't mind having one for free!:D

Couldnt be farther off...

Motor wise everything is basically the same except, Heads are different (VVT, Direct Injection, ect.) ECU are different.

"The best thing about the LNF equipped cars is factory wideband sensor,ECU can keep its AFR with added mods!" I dont know where you got that one... Unless your referring to the ECU keeps the power output at 260hp/260tq nomatter the mods or conditions. Which can now be fixed with a ECU re flash.

Now there are '08-'09 ss/tc's with just a reflash and drag radials running 12.7's all day long.

They also have a new "comp mode" Where you hold the trac control button til the display flash "COMP MODE" and has factory launch control and no lift shift.

Also has some kind of new stability control system.

Has new brembo brakes.

And a retuned suspension.

They cars are total beasts and have major potential, But a LSJ swapped turbo has proven to still me be the better choice.

And to those saying domestics cant take power, There is a turbo LSJ putting down 414whp on a mustang dyno on stock everything.

nope not really, the LNF turbo motor is a filled in version of the 2.4 with oil squirters and forged components.
Wrong again... Read above posts. Just so you know The 2.4 and both 2.0's have forged rods and crank but not pistons.
