my question is how much should the machine shop bore my throttle body?? i need some specs of this from people who have had it done. any helpful info about this process would be greatly appreciated.....

defiant.......im relying on you :p

Concept Illusions bored mine out from 48mm to 55mm..But some of my friends have theirs bored out to 52mm..By the way they told me that 55mm is the largest size your stock TB can be bored out to safely. They also installed a custom throttle plate...This is one mod that you will definitely feel the difference in power from...

thanks for the post....

im guessing that the stock size is 48....so did you notice a difference when you were bored to 55?? what type of gain should i expect from it. also did it affect you fuel economy?? how much did it cost you???

I paid $69.99 for the service..It was done through Ebay; here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ecli...58QQitemZ7997228451QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW..I believe that you can contact them directly or through their website but I'm not sure..I did actually feel a difference in power/torque but I'm not sure of the amount of HP it added..It didnt affect my fuel economy one bit..

so if i have mine bored to 52mm will i need to do anything else, or just have it bored and put it back in??? im not sure if ill need a throttle plate or not??? not really sure the function of the plate.

thanks for all your help.....

I'm planning on going turbo soon so that's why I had mine bored out to 55mm..You can have it ported to 52 mm and it should be fine..According to this ebay listing :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ecli...33558QQitemZ7997228445QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW they say that you should gain 3-4 HP depending on your other mods and I dont think a throttle plate is needed..
