Buy or build a boost leak tester.

Don't buy modified car you don't know anything about. :)

Start with a boost leak tester. Get use to ordering parts from extreme PSI and jnz tuning because if you want good parts that will fit then that's what your are going to have to do. Happy Tuning

Sounds like map sensor problems to me. You need to make sure you have a fcd and a fmu. If you don't have that or it's not working right That's what you will get. If you can't get Ms to work with a laptop it may not be wired properly. Someone put some money into it or they bought a cheap Turbo and put good tuning software on it. Get it tuned right by a professional if you don't want your motor to have a failure soon. You need to find out how much boost the car is set at. List the aftermarket parts in the car. You need to get that manifold fixed which is not hard to do.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is still a boost leak test.

You could get out a multimeter and start checking sensors, but get a boost leak test done.

I made a boost leak tester all you need is a plastic cup and a bike tires the inside of it. so you cut the cup almost in half of it with a saw and then cut a big piece of the tire the inside of it don't know what it called. Get hose or just use the aftermarket hose that goes to ## air intake. Clamp it on to the turbo and pit the cup in backwards and the tire the inside of it on the cut and clam it. Then you hook up a compressor to the jpipe or vacuum hose.

Here's a good video from jafro for building a boost leak tester, it's pretty simple. Having a big boost leak or multiple will do that to your car.
