boost on a 1g auto

my friend has a 92 tsi awd auto complelty stock and he said his boost is 14 i told him that the guage is worthless and i am not 100% but i told him on that turbo 13b its only like 7-8 psi right?

9psi, and you were correct the stock gauge is a piece and does not actually read boost.

I beg to differ. On my car at least, I boosted around 12psi w/o BCS mod. I also have a new autometer boost gauge, and I it is installed according to RRE directions. I am quite certain it is accurate.

I most definately have an auto(for now). Bone stock when I got it to.

My auto when bone stock read 11psi on the 13g with just the bcs removed. That was on my autometer boost gauge. after i made a MBC i set it to 15psi and my car felt like a totally new beast.. OH yeah, the stock boost gauge is all but useless for real boost readings!!
