Ok so I just replaced my altornator and now my car is struggling at idle and when I boost I hold my foot steddy on the peddle and my boost gage goes down. Any ideas where to start

Get/make a boost leak tester. There are a few threads on how to make them here, I'd link them but it's a hassle on my phone. Get one of those and you'll find the leak

you can also get a smoke machine, and pump it through your intake hose. You will slowly start to see the smoke leak though the faulty area. You can also make a boost leak tester :p.

You can make a tester and find your leaks easily in a day, as long as you have the correct tools to make it. Or if you're lucky, a local dsm group might have one laying around to lend you. Or local car group I general.
