Ok heres the deal i have made a boost leak tester like they have on vfaq.com. and i found a leak on my throttle body shaft seal so i repaired it. Next I done a boost leak test again and its leaking on my bov which is a turboxs rfl. So i took it off and put my old greddy type-s on and it leaked to even with the adjustment screw set all teh way down. I tried taking the vacuum line off, tried closing the line off for my boost controller which is an electronic controller. Its the hks evc. I have read not to tap into the bov line but the evc has a line running form the wastegate, the turbine housing and then one teed of the bov. Has anyone esle had this problem and if so what solution did you come up with.

where on the BOV is it leaking the BOV is supposed to open once it reaches a certain amount of pressure... how much pressure are you running through your tester? I usually set my compressor at 10-15PSI so that no more pressure than that is going through. What you want to do is set your compressors amount of pressure at close to the same amount that your boost is set to while your driving the car.

This is not correct.

The BOV will open when the vaccuum in the IM pulls it open. This will occur when you let off the throttle and pull vaccuum (during shifts, etc.).

When you pressurize your intake, you also pressurize the IM which pressurizes the diaphragm in the BOV which will actually force the valve shut.

My bov is leaking were it vents the air. And I set the regulator to 20psi to test and as soon as i put air in it leaked rite back out. And it done it with both bovs I have. Maybe im just not doing it rite.
