Boost leak, hole in intercooler

I have a 96 gst that has been having problems with boost. I have had the car for two years and for a year and a half it ran fine. The last 6 months its been giving me problems. I took off my intercooler tonight and saw some duct tape on the top of it. I took off the duct tape and saw two tiny holes on the top of the intercooler. I figured there not supposed to be there but there both the same size so I am not sure.............Also I have the stock intake and all the way to the left where it meets with the body of the car and is supposed to lay flush with the body. The rubber around it that lays flush with the body is deteriorating, will this cause a boost leak.

Of course it will....JB weld it.

The intercooler wholes are causing the leak, or how the intake is, is causing the leak. Or both?

JB Weld the IC, get a hard intake pipe.

if you want a more permanant fix find someone who welds aluminum and weld it up. i second the motion for a hard intake pipe

When my intercooler sprung a leak I took it to the muffler shop and they rewelded the seam. Charged me $20 but it will hold much better than JB weld. Really for me I had no choice as I wouldn't trust JB weld to hold a seam at 30 psi, but it might be ok for you if you are running lower boost.

And like everyone else said get a metal intake pipe as well.
