Tonight I decided to get on it, and it boosted very fast and up to 10 right away. Felt the power very well. When I try to do the same in the daytime when it's a bit warmer maybe 40-45degree's insted of 30's it hit's 10 sometimes but drops to 7 or lower, somtimes it won't even hit that high and makes a loud wine. Now my question is can a boost leak cause it to act fine in colder air than warmer air. At first I thought the turbo was going out because of the wine, but at night when it's colder it doesn't wine, and pulls very hard. Now I know cars run better in colder weather, but it should boost the same if the temp is maybe 10degree's difference. Could my turbo still be going, and just show's it in in higher temp's out side or is there a boost leak that only shows it'self when it's hotter outside.

Maybe (this is a long shot) there is a boost leak and it effects it if it's hooter and the air don't burn as well vs cold air entering unmetered, but burning better resulting in ok performence.

Also could the oil seal be going and it only show's it sign's in the higher temp? People have said it smokes a bit sometimes, but I have never seen it. turbo has 116,000. plan to replace with EVO when I get this figured out

Same thing happened to me. I had my boost set at 20psi. I didnt get on it for a few days. Monday, the temperature shot up to 60 and i went to the dyno. The car was boosting like 13psi and i had to turn my boost controller a few times to get to 20psi and of course the temp dropped the same night so i had to turn it back down. That shit cost me a few pulls on the dyno since they were wasited trying to figure out wat was up instead of being able to tune.
