Boost Gauge Hooked up running 16psi?

so i hooked up my glowshift gauge ans well it says im running 16psi and spikes at 18psi in third. all i have is maft and dejon piping. i know thats not correct as stock is like 12 psi so anybody know?

btw i dont have a boost controller hooked up (have one tho), no fuel mods yet (have wally 255 and injectors waiting for turbo), and the safc-2 is waiting for the other mods to go in.

Check to see if the restrictor is gone from the bcs. If so plug the bcs and hook your wastegate directly to boost source.

Do you mean to say that you dont have a boost controller hooked up period?? at least the stock one??

Iv'e heard of those glowshift gauges being a "bit" off but nothing to drastic...

Your wastegate could be damaged which is causing it to spike to 18-16psi

i think the restrictor is not there. the guy b4 me said he did something there. but i got the car stock. and i do have the stock boost controller . but its weird im spiking at 18.

not if the restrictor is removed from the bcs, can you take some pics of how it's hooked up and i beleive VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions has a section on removing the bcs restrictor as well wich will help you determine if it is removed.

Also did you try hooking your wastegate up to the nipple on the compressor side of your turbo and by-passing your bcs all together(cap it too). If your running at 12 psi on your boost gauge after you by-pass your bcs then your gauge is correct.
