My autometer boost gauge isn't showing any vaccum. When I build pressure it will still read up to 16psi(where it's set to). When I let off the throttle the gauge gets stuck around 10psi then takes 5mins or so to go down to 0 but never shows vaccum. I did a once over on all the vaccum lines, i'm not sure what else it could be besides the gauge is broken

honestly,,, hook a vaccum line to the gauge, and suck on the line and see if it vacuums all the way down, if it does, then recheck your vaccuum lines

I have had two autometer boos gauges go bad on me. Make sure the needle is at 0 when the car is off. If its not then you are running more or less boost than you think.

LOL, i'll try sucking on the line. Gata check the line behind the gauge first though. I just got a new sunroof installed, they might have crimped the line behind the gauge *shrugs*

What? WTF Sunroof, Boost gauge.... ahem... okay.

Did this problem just start, or has it been like this since you put the gauge in?

I am a little confused on how a new sunroof could affect your boost gauge....maybe you could elaborate.

You might also check the line comming through the firewall.....i have had them get kinked there too.

I had a new sunroof put in a few days ago, so to put in the sunroof the headliner has to come out and wires need to be run. They might have run it along the A-piller behind the gauge pod. The gauge has worked fine for the last 3 years, it was not just installed. Just stopped working properly

Ah. And, days later, still more pieces of the cadaver float to the surface. :toobad:
Y'see, in the DSM world, "Sunroof" always refers to the factory sunroof. Always. Every single goddamned time. Which is why IF YOU HAVE AN AFTERMARKET SUNROOF INSTALLED AND IT CAUSES PROBLEMS, YOU SHOULD TELL US ABOUT IT.
They pinched your vacuum line when they put the pillar back.
