Why does my boost spike up when it first begins building and then starts going down as my RPMs go up. In 3rd itll spike to about 16psi then taper off to about 12 or 13psi at 6k RPM. It did this when i had the stock setup and also does it now that i have installed a Perrin boost controller. About 2 months ago i did a smoke test on my intake and found no leaks. It's just another way of checking for leaks instead of using compressed air.

Well you happen to have the worst turbo that ever came on a DSM.. The t25 is well known for tapering boost off.. My t25 turbo would spike to 17 and taper off to about 14 at redline.. The turbo can't keep up with the demands of the engine.. Unfortunatly it is normal.. I would look at getting a 14b off a 1st gen manual... They hold boost better and should hold until redline..

He is on stock exhaust I highly doubt he will boost creep right now. Remember though, keep the 16g at 10-14 psi until you upgrade your fuel etc..

x2... the 16G should do you well, just don't try to push it too much without a new fuel pump and injectors...

you ill need and new tune for the larger injectors because computer doesn't know how to regulate the fuel trim on an extra 100cc injectors so some software or computer upgrades like wideband are suggested fuel cut cane happen if your not too careful with boosting your your car over its limit
