So i got all my boost leaks fixed today and was running it kinda hard. Then all of a sudden it lost power in 3rd gear. Coasted and gave it some gas and it built boost? Pulled it into the garage popped the hood and noticed that the uicp was sucking in WTF . I checked and there are no boost leaks. Everything is fine. Turbo still spins freely. Im totally lost on what could of happened

What do you mean the UICP was sucking in? Did you blow one of the couplers off or something?

Nope theres no leaks. And nothing wrong with the turbo. And yes its sucking the uicp together. And it only builds vacum. No boost at all? Im totally confused.

It sounded like an intercooler coupler blew off when it lost the power and broke but theres no leaks.

when you say upper intercooler hose sucking in, do you mean it collapsed?

edit, oops just read a little closer, you already said that...

sounds like there is something blocking your airflow....clogged intercooler?

Nope. Its no clogged already checked. Hooked a shop vac up and it sucked threw the whole intercooler system :(

well time to up grade to hard pipes.

I agree...

If you have nothing clogging the intercooler pipes, your upper pipe may have just gone soft...

Not the problem, The bov doesnt make any sound. I even held it open and it sucked it shut very hard and it never opened. When you give it gas the boost guage builts vacum instead of going to 0. And i put a pipe when it was collapsing and it didnt do anything.

Yes i am sure. I was told the exhaust wheel might of fell of. But i checked and its still there. How weird is this? I always have problems that dont have answers.

well shoot....

This is kind of a pain to do, but try taking your intake hose off of the turbo and hook it to the throttle body somehow (so the MAF is still hooked up), then you can start the car and see if you have any airflow coming from the uicp, you can even push the throttle some and see if the airflow increases.

I've had to do that before to a friends car...

there has to be some kind of restriction somewhere between the air filter and the intake manifold...

sounds like the wastegate is stuck open or maybe there is a really bad exhaust leak preturbo thats all i can think of that may cause such a problem

Runs fine till you boost then boggs and the uicp completly collapses. And there is no exhaust leaks?

i put a shop vac at one end and it sucked my hand at the other. Thats why i believe there is nothing blocking. Im supposed to race at the track in 12 hours. Im gonna change the turbo and do another teat.

DOUPLE CHECK THATS THE WAY MY CAR RAN WHEN A COUPLER CAME OFF.

I double checked and theres no leaks. I put the intake right onto the throttle body and it ran fine. Well didnt boost because the one uicp wasnt connected. It seems that the throttle body is is sucking to much and the turbos not pushing enough? Im still lost.
