I think its pretty uniform to say that the first thing I should do is put in a boost gauge. I've been told I should put in an EGT gauge eventually so I’m just going to order that with the boost gauge. I have one more hole to fill; I’m not too sure as to what I should put in there.

What would be the best thing to get??

Wideband O2 if you can afford it. Don't bother with a regular A/F gauge, they're pointless, unless you like the blinky lights. If not the wideband, I'd probably go wih an electric fuel pressure gauge or oil pressure gauge (electric so you can safely mount them in the car)

I have an electronic fuel pressure in my pod. Now I think i would rather have a oil pressure guage. Oh and make sure you get an electronic one, you dont want any oil spraying in your interior now do we?

I love how it's always; "I have one more hole in my cluster I need to fill up" This question should be asked before buying a cluster and should be phrased as such: "I'm looking to build my (insert car) up. My goal is (enter hp goal here). What gauges should i get to monitor my car?"
But for the 1,472,635,761,357.54th time in as many threads... Electronic Oil Pressure.

I would go with either an electronic oil pressure gauge OR an electronic water temperature gauge, incase you get a front mount intercooler, or water pump/thermostat failure.

Actually this question is being asked before the purchase of a cluster.
The reason why I'm buying a Triple Cluster is because its only four more dollars. I was just going to leave the extra hole open, but I thought I might be able to save on shipping if I buy everything at once.

What does it matter WHY he wants them?

All he asked was that, if you were in his shoes, which would you buy?

i'm just saying when this question is asked it's always just about filling a hole. cool you're asking before buying the cluster, but a lot of people just want to make their dash look cool with a buncha nifty looking gauges.
Not harping on him specifically, just more of a general vent because I see that questiona LOT and it's always phrased "I need something to fill up my cluster".

Damn, didn't even take you a day to rip one of my posts! LOL!

Just curious, but what gauge (max. pressure) would you use for oil and fuel pressure? I have one that is available to me, but it is 80 psi max, I think. Would that be sufficient?

Thanks,

Adam

I didn't really take offence to what he said, I understand where he`s comin from. I just didn't want anyone thinking I was buying them just to buy them.

I vote for the wideband 02 if you can afford it.

Scratch that, I just re-read that you have a egt gauge. I meant wideband over egt, but get oil pressure since you already have the egt.

why don't you just buy both the wide band o2 and the oil pressure, and a oil temp gauge too then put the o2 in the a pillar pod and buy a cluster Gauge pod that goes around your stock gauges and put the oil temp and pressure ones there? thats how I have mine set up and that way I have all the most important gauges and it looks cool to have 5 gauges :dsm:

I understand where you're coming from. I don't think it is going to do any good to harp on these people for only wanting items for show, however. That's all I was trying to say.

I would have said something regardless of my tag. You should know that :nono: ;)

Wideband O2, or a water temp gauge. But then, I'm kinda paranoid as I've had a radiator overpressure itself before, and blow off the feed and return hoses.
