boost controller noob question

Okay guys im having a problem with my boost controller, (already tried 2 different ones) it wont stop building boost. When connected from the turbo straight to the wastegate it stays at 10 lbs, but if the BC is connected it continues to climb. I have a line conected to the side nipple on the wastegate to the side nipple on the boost controller, and the other line is conected to the bottom nipple on the BC the nipple on the turbo. Is this right or is there something im missing.

Is the boost controller set to limit the boost? When i bought mine, it wasnt set at all, and would boost as much as possible.

Run a vacum line from your wastegate to your intake manifold. Cut it in half and put the boost controller in the middle. The line from the intake manifold goes to the side nipple and the other hose goes to the bottom nipple of the Boost controller..It works fine that way..If the problem still persist its a faulty controller, and you may want to change your vacuum lines...hope this helps.

Did you get it off of ebay? I purchased two when i had my 300zx and both nipples were labeled backwards.

no both turbo xs, and il try to run it from the manifold.
