boost controller help

Does anyone have a diagram or can help me on how to hook up my boost controller. I have a greddy profec B electronic boost controller and a tial 44mm wastegate. And right now i have no boost controller, just using the wastegate spring, and car car stutters under boost. Is that becasue theres nothing connected to the wastegate ? Would it be better once i hook up a boost controller ?

Here is a link to the Instructions from Greddy if you don't have them for some reason. It really isn't all that hard to hook up. Just use the diagrams in the instructions.

Which version of Profec B are you running? & does the boost solinoid have 2 or 3 pressure ports? No the car shouldn't studder under boost, just because there's no boost controller. Something else is wrong, so get the studder issue sorted out before you go & try to raise the boost.

Its the spec 2 version and it has two ports. Idk, its really not like stuttering, its hard to describe.

If you have the spec 2 check out the diagram on page 6 from the first link I posted.

Also my car had some stumble / stutter issues under boost and a fresh set of properly gapped NGK plugs had it running right as soon as I put them in. I would check your current plugs to see what they look like and what the gap is on them. If they don't look good or if they aren't NGKs take them out and spend a couple bucks on proper plugs.

I had ngks in there before and i just bought some bosch plugs for it today. What should i gap them too ?

You should go back and get some NGK BPR6ES (or BPR7ES if you plan on running 18+psi). Then gap them to .028".

What type of Bosch plugs did you buy? If their platinum, take them back, their useless in our cars. NGK always work well in our cars, what series were you running & what did you have them gapped at?

For hooking up the EBC to your Tail you want to follow the instructions for hooking up an external WG, the one that requires for you to use 2 solinoid ports & both ports on the WG.
