I have a 1997 GS-T its all stock but id like to get about 16 psi of boost. From what im told the car come with 11psi stock upping the boost that much do i need to upgrade to fuel system or change the timing? Any advice is welcome.

No that it is not necessary to upgrade the fuel system or mess with timing!
You should be somewhat safe just turning it up, not that i recommend that.
Tech Guide - DSMtuners

Best thing to do is follow the upgrade path on here, and do you upgrades right!

I don't believe the t25 would be that much more efficient after 16psi, its a tiny turbo.
The only thing that i highly recommend for tuning up the boost to 16psi, is watching for knock and proper A/F ratios!! Next step would be tuning software and fuel upgrades.. IMO But again its on a stock t25!!

Read the upgrade path, as stated.

And don't shoot for a certain boost level, this is dumb and will help you blow your car up - shoot for a power level.

as skatershawn and Absit have said read through the upgrade path and don't shoot for a specified boost level. That being said it is possible to run that level on a mostly stock car but you must be able to accurately measure air fuel ratios and knock to be certain you are in a safe range.

iv got a bigger turbo its a t3/t4 63mm trim and bov just yet to put it on. this isnt my first turbo car just frist STOCK turbo car. bout 60hp more wold be nice. i know i had to do alot of upgrades on my other car just to run 8 psi.

Why would you install a big turbo on a car with a stock fuel system setup and no tuning device or even wideband? BAD JUJU

I agree bad juju is right LOL what turbo car were you running 8psi on and had fuel mods had to be a honda and again as josh would say bad juju dont even compare a dsm to a honda LOL they are totally different animals from alot of cars.

That's what I just said Josh..
I didnt "say" anything. I was asking him a question.

Where did I compare a DSM to a Honda?

no no not you josh LOL i was referring to the guy that posted it. when he was saying he had big mods to run 8 psi and hes saying hes had turbo cars before. thats what i was refering to i figured he was trying to compare owning a turbo honda to a dsm

i had a 97 ford probe GT on 8 psi not a damn honda.

it was a 2gen probe GT i had put a 255 walbro fuel pump, 12:1 vortech fmu, and 290cc injectors just to run 8psi but it could of been worse it could of been a damn honda
