awd question

you know those 2 bolts holding that 1/2 shaft thing from moving around on the driver side? yea mine are gone :( now its leaking fluid. if by chance anyone knows the size and what not it would be greatly appreciated and this time ill make sure they are tight. thanks

Better stick something in the holes to make sure the bolts didnt break off in there. If they did you are focked. They are a bi*** to drill out. There should be no fluid leaking out of those holes either they dont even go all the way through.

the shaft has somewhat come out....thats where its leaking. sorry i was to vague :p. anyways i think i have a friend stopping by with the bolts. the bolts are gone. they were not broken off. thanks for the concern though :thumb:

Cool. Yeah both of mine broke off flush in the block not to long ago. I ended up having to go buy a drill from sears for $180. It was the only one that would fit back there. Thought I was going to have to pull the motor to get them out until I found that one. Ended up just pulling the intake mani off and reaching down there to drill them out. Man that sucked. :thumbdown

yah i noticed after i installed my motor and tranny and i was under the car attaching the half shaft to the tranny that one of the bolts had broken off in half and needed to be drilled out.. only have one bolt holding it and it seems to be doing just fine...hopefuly when i can get my car onto a lift i'll try and drill that sucker out.

I was launching mine and bolth of them snaped off. So I have to get a nice drill bit and come across a small drill and drill them out!!!? Any more tips on it because my car drives like a beast with the shaft lose I was almost thinking about riging a bracked from ware the old ac bracket was to go over and bolt up the cv shaft.
