I was working on my 95 eclipse the other night trying to remove the bolt that connects the lower half of the suspension, and I broke it. I assume this is probably a metric bolt, and stamped on the top of the bolt is an 8, upon research I found there are metric markings for grade, but they are 8.8, not just 8. Does anyone have and idea what the 8 stands for? I want to make sure I get the right bolt to put back in.

Yes, as you suggest, the 8 on the bolt is the grade. Also, as you mention, the proper labeling convention is #.#, so in this case, it would be 8.8 However, Mitsu chooses to not put the entire full-length label on the head. You're also correct that it will be a metric bolt. All original fasteners on your DSM are metric. If you find any that aren't, a previous owner has replaced the original.

Thanks for the response, thats what I was figuring it would be, but wanted to make sure. Already got a new bolt for it and all back together :)
