Hey im looking to buy another dsm from a guy locally. but he says the car bogs down when you shift into second im tryin g to think wut would cause that. if you all could help that would be great im probally gonna go look at it later this week. sounds like something pretty easy and cheap to fix and i can do it my self so im gettin a good deal on it. all you help is appreciated. oh btw its a 91 tsi awd stock 5 speed

he says he thinks it has really bad compression but if it bogs down when in second that doesnt make sense. all help is appreciated i hope to be goin to look at it soon. car also has 100k miles on it

id buy it for cheap with the intention of doing a head rebuild. maybe you should give it a compression test b4 u buy it. :-/ if he'll let you

ya thats what i was planing on a compression test. im really good with the 4g63 rebiult 2 of em and got a compression tester. hes askin 1700 but i wont pay that much for a shitty runin car. it does only have 100k on it tho and no rust but still. and doing a head rebuild give me the chance to prepare it for high boost and do some porting.

sounds like a boost leak to me ,my car did anyway.the motor will have a choppy idle if bad compression.tell him the motor is shot and offer him 1000

hmm didn't think of that one. I'm gonna do a compression test neways see if its that and if its not it does sound like a boost leak but i wont pay 1700 for a car that doesnt run right. i don't get exactly y it do do it in first tho is it cuz the turbo isnt spoolin yet?? im comin from a nt so i got some stuff to learn.
