bogging at low rpm, and check engine comes on

so i just bought a 90 tsi turbo awd and im having a issue. so my car is bogging and bucking at low rpms almost like its misfiring. if i lay into the throttle the turbo kicks in and it runs fine. its putting out about 8ish psi. on top of everything my check engine light is soming on randomly. sometimes it goes away but somtimes it stays. ### help me out guys im new to dsms. im just a lame kid who used to be way into hondas x_x

Whens the last time the plugs and wires where changed?? I suggest you check out VFAQ Site - Visual Frequently Answered Questions and read through the whole damn thing.. They have a link under "intake" where it shows you how to build a boost leak tester, I would start with that. Oh and welcom to dsm's, get used to working on your own car, "alot".

idk when the last time they were changed....###### never. i just bought the car yesterday for 1350... maybe a rip off? im used to working on my own car alot my previous car was a 90 civic si. not to reliable. then i totaled it when some granny slammed on her brakes infront of me. blah
