Body stiffener? (Strut Tower Bars)

Ok, got this car in pieces and managed to get most of it back together but I’m lost on this bar.. I know where the top one goes, but lost on the bottom one.. I noticed that above the rear shock towers it had been cut out for something.. makes sense to me that it would be for body stiffening but no fit.. any ideas..??

Where are the brackets that go with that?

not sure..there are brackets on top of the rear shock towers but the bar is not going to span it.. inches short

That is most definitely rear strut bar and you can loosen the lock nuts and extend the ends to reach the brackets on the strut towers.

and paulyman, you wrote some where that if ya havnet checked for boost leak, then forget tuning it.. well i finally did a boost check {that was proper}, and it held 20 pounds for about 600milliseconds... so it all comes apart and i gotta pay alimony to the second woman, you know..i trust thou

Thanks guys.. that’s the least of my worries right now.. gotta figure out why my car won’t run with new 800 cc injectors.. got lots of work to do..
