Blue smoke when warm?

My car seems to be smoking blue . Wich is deffenitley oil however i have not figured out the source from where it is coming from? Is it possible for the oil seal to leak only on the exausht side ? The reason why i say this is because there is no oil in the intercooler piping . I pulled the plugs and they look great and the car runs very good. I have not done a compression check yet but i will today . If you can help me or have had this happen to you please help!!!!! thanks

There is no oil in the intake pipe!

The source of the problem was a cracked ringland on the number one piston and a leaking headgasket.

Hey I need help guys when I put it to reverse and go back a puff of blue burning oil smoke comes out like a ball idk why but when cold start no smoke but when warm no smoke too only when I reverse and sometime 1st gear I get off and press the throttle little more and lil ball of smoke puff out the exhaust rings are good 175 straight across turbo has side to side shaft play please help I’m really stuck thinking to buy a new turbo cause pcv valve is good make little ball noise inside so still good but I’m running the feed line to the bottom of the oil filter idk if that can be a issue too lmk ASAP thanks need help!!

I ran across this thread when going through my searching for my smoking motor, and I think the follow up answer in 2006 was horse sh1t. There was no follow up to it and it was just a generic full rebuild response which im not saying wasn't the problem, but it was also a quick no big deal ring land motor rebuild response


Anyways i digress...
The pcv valve needs to seal at 20psi, shaking it is not a proper test. Only use oem pcv valves from supporting vendors.
Puffing smoke from a turbo would be very evident under boost

Valve seals would be noticeable under high vacuum situations. In my automatic car I would set the parking brake and shift to reverse and get out of the car and watch it spew smoke. The best test for this is at night shining a flashlight in the exhaust pipe
