Brampton,
Ive searched and i followed the advice but i still keep popping fuses. It wont blow the fuses when i turn the key to ON. It will instantly blow up as soon as i turn the key to ACC.

What ive done so far:

- Brand new alt
- fully charged battery (12.7v not running, 14.3v when running) (both alt and battery has been tested to work properly prior to installation)
- Check interior fuses (no blown fuses, no draw(checked with a multimeter)
- Check engine bay fuses (ALT keeps blowing)
- Check all ground, sanded and made sure i have a good contact
- Replaced ECU with a working one

After all of that, i still keep blowing fuses. I thought it was my coil pack, and noticed theres a bit of a sludge built up on the connection. Cleaned it up with a q-tip and the car ran for one day. Then it started to blow a fuse again.

Would a bad starter be a cause of the problem?

As well, i just had a compustar alarm installed 2 weeks before this happened. It ran fine for a week and a half. Then after i went to the track, it started blowing fuses.

At this point on. my suspicions are:

- Bad starter
- Bad alarm installation
- There's something i fried while i was at the track

Any thoughts?

Sounds to me like you have short somewhere. Are you sure you checked ALL the grounds? I also dont think the starter could be the culprit because it only has a power wire and a ground wire. And if it wasn't grounded you would know because your car wouldn't start.
