So I was wondering if it is possible to know the month a block was made just based off of the vin stamped on the block?
I just found out that the block in my car is not the original and it's from a 1997 Eclipse GSX and the VIN does not match the vin on the door jam or dash.
The door jam / dash vins do match and I ran it through a VIN checker and it says its a 1998 Eclipse GSX, Which is what I was told the car was when I bought it and I could see this information on the door jam.
I was also told it was all original.
I know it doesnt make a huge difference I just want to be sure in case I need to know for something in the future.
