I blew off my BOV ref line tonight, I'm not sure how much boost I was running, but I'd imagine the evo3 was creeping due to the cold temperatures.

The BOV line had a pinch clamp and still blew off, I'm not sure what happened.

The recirc hose on the vacume side of the intake is what blew off huh? That happened to me on my way across the state. I never figured it out but I used some rtv sealant to glue the hose sleeve back in cause the clamp wasnt the problem. Hasnt popped out since. If you figure out why this happened please post so I may look into it. At the time that it happened my car was bone stock with no free mods even.

I was pretty tired when I posted that, but I guess I was just wondering if anyone else has to use a real hoseclamp on that hose?

I know what you were trying to say, what Im saying is that the whole sleeve that you put the tube onto and then clamp, came out. That tells me that if the sleeve will stay in the intake boot, that yes your gonna need a real hose clamp. I dont know why though, that whole side of the intake is vacume anyways. Except when the BOV pops a burst of pressure in there. I just didnt think that it was enough to blow that hose off in the first place.

No it's not in vac, I'm not talking about the BOV re-circ tube, I don't even have one of those. I'm talking about the BOV reference line, that ensure the BOV does not open while under boost. That line goes directly to the intake manifold, and is under boost anytime the turbo is creating it.

No sweat, I'm pretty sure I was creeping past 25psi, I'm glad I got away with just a few blown caps/hoses on the intake mani. The forged pistons may be the reason my motor is still running.
