While you are at it flush your radiator system with a bottle or two of prestone super radiator flush. It says use one but i used 3 because i had oil/water mix still in the engine.

For refilling, use one jug of pre-mixed, and a jug of distilled water from the grocery store. Stay with Prestone, pay the extra three bucks. You want a final mix of about 30% so long as you're not in the snow, 50% if you are.
I've not run into a "burping" issue with DSMs, but I hear a lot about it. Personally, I just over-fill the expansion tank and, once filled, let the engine finish itself. There is no heater valve, so that's one less hassle to deal with. Squeezing the lower radiator hose can also be used to pump coolant through the system.
