How do you bleed the coolant system in a 1g 1.8l because i think i have air in my coolant system

How do you have air in your coolant system ? I've never heard of that before. If you are talking about flushing your system, then unscrew the cap underneath the car on the radiator's driver-side on the bottom and let the water pour out. Then when it is all out, put the cap back on and re-fill, simple as that.

Just take the cap off and Start the car, take a funnel make sure its tight in the coolant neck, and keep the level in the funnel higher that the coolant neck, and watch the bubbles come out. Air gets in there if your coolant bottle has no coolant in it, when coolant is sucked up and there is none in the bottle, you suck air in. Pretty much I do it to make sure I get it completely full, you'll notice quite a bit of bubblling, and it sucking coolant in.

The term is "bleeding", and DSMs do not need it. Fill the system, fill the expansion ("overflow") tank, drive the car, and refill the expansion tank for two more days. No air will remain in the system. Just like we've explained over and over again.
