i may try the door handle thing like you suggested. the only part of the door i will be reusing is that part, i have 2 doorpanels that will be fiberglassed and painted/covered

i personally like his idea and actually am in the midst of doing something like that to my eclipse. The last 2 days i spent ripping everything out, because of a bad water leak. Still trying to locate it, hard to do with only 1 hour of sunlight left after work.

Anyways, is the alcantara fabric almost like suede? how much does it cost, and where can i see pics. I've got a great idea in mind for the interior of this car. I have these awesome seats, 8 way power, half leather , and in the middle they are suede. All black and comfortable as hell. I want to match that in the interior and this alcantara stuff seems like a good idea.

I was also thinking about doing the middle part of the door in a fabric. I ripped out the carpet and everything, its basically the shell now. Anyone know a good place to get carpeting for our eclipse's?

Anyone know a good spot to get the interior plastics , because im missing a few and a few are broken. And all the junk yards around here are shot, and dont have any eclipse parts.

alcantara is a brand name, its ultra suede tho.

for interior pieces, check dsmtrader or ebay. theres always stuff on both sites.

i did it all with 2 sheets (the headliner, sunroof covers, 2 a pillars, and 2 visors.) but i also ordered 2 more sheets a few days ago incase i do other things later. i dont want to have 2 different materials throughout the car if i do more suede.

Yeah, I'm planning to do the middle section on my door, center glove box cover, and rear seats in this material. I do not now how much fabric that will take. I don't think I'll be doing the head liner though, its still a 'maybe'.
