Just wondering if anyone has their headliner dyed black. I think it would look pretty sweet with the all black interior I have. Has anyone every done this before or where you can do it?

just slap some new fabric on it from ebay and spray on glue..takes about 35 bucks and an afternoon.

ya just redo the headliner, pull off the old material and then glue down some black material and you can do t super cheap and fast

Yep. Just redid mine a little while ago, total cost of under $15. Here's a pic:

I dyed mine, 2 can of dye = 10 bucks... Looks great, no problems. Plus you can dye the visors and the other things to match. The stuff works great.

Can some1 make up a diy for it? Preferably projecttsi? thanks.

i re did mine with some headliner fabric and a can of headliner/carpet spray adhesive.
i have done 5 mine my trucks, my friends 1g,and accord and my friends 2000 eclipse.
and i have always used the permatex spray adhesive and took the old headliner out.
it is super simple. and once out takes 15 minutes

im in the middle of doing my headliner, sunroof panels, and sun visors... will post pics when done just wondering if anyone has advice for getting the sun visors back together and looking good...

To anyone thinking about redoing their door inserts and/or headliner just go to JoAnn Fabrics and buy some suede and spray adhesive it to your piece. Instant baller status.

I wanna redo mine as well. I have that gray oem vinyl roof. Only reason is because I let stupid kids in the car and somehow they burnt the roof with a cig. Asses! I just dunno how on earth to get the head liner out of the car without damaging it. Last time I pulled one out, was in the 98 and I ended up having to buy a new one. It hurt deeep in my heart and soul!

Look like alot of us are going to give this a shot. I like that write up over on dsmtalk. Very helpful. I have two headliners to do, one with sun roof, one without. The only thing about that write up that I thought was stupid looking was he left the visor plastic pieces the stock tan color. I plan on spray painting mine black to match the fabric.

to tell you the truth the plastic pieces don't matter as they are being covered by the fabric... stupidest thing for me was that im not putting the mirror back in or the "garage door opener" thing that was on my drivers side sunroof don't ask what the hell that was...
