I almost got everything i need to put my s256 on and I was thinking of getting a bigger fmic but if what I have is big enough i might keep it to save some money. So here's what im thinking, a bigger fmic will run cooler, be more effiecent with the bigger turbo and it is a lot shorter route then what im running now..plus it will look better:p But i could save some money and i wouldnt have to move/delete my evap cans, and with a smaller core it would spool a bit faster right? The front mount im looking to get is
VRSF Front Mount Intercooler Kit / 2G DSM - Modern Automotive Performance
so the price isnt too bad but saving money is always good and my profile pic shows what im running now.

So that being said should i keep what i have or go bigger?:hmm::aha:

Just keep it for now and log your IATs. When you up the boost is when you would see the issue if the core heat soaks or not.

Set the money aside and wait.

In theory and simple terms, the larger turbo is going to be more efficient with more boost, so you actually need LESS intercooler with more turbo until you push the efficiency of the new turbo.

Yeah this is true to a certain degree. He also needs to make sure the intercooler he picks can also keep up with the cfm/min of airflow that his turbo is capable of putting out;)
