Okay, after doing some searching I can't really find exactly what I need so I'm going to have to make a thread.

First of all, I'll start, I have a 2g gsx with an intake and exhaust coming. Catback and I'll buy a downpipe soon after.

But I'm wanting to look into a bigger turbo maybe, there's a small 16g with a manifold and O2 housing on the DSM craigslist, would this be a possibility for my car now? Maybe not this specific one, but I know I need a bigger turbo, and the rest of the exhuast.

What about tuning, fuel system, FMIC, and bov?

Thanks.

for a 16G, inmy opinion, you should get:

Walbro 255 fuel pump, fuel pump rewire kit, and at least 550cc injectors(for fuel)

Apexi S-AFC 2 or DSMlink(for tuning)

save money and keep the SMIC(until u get a boost controller and turn boost up)

get a hard UICP(many options) and 1G BOV

then get the turbo

True..But you can run a 16g on stock boost till you do get the proper mods to turn up the boost..You will notice an increase in power, even on stock boost..

It might be too much for the plastic 2g bov to handle..If you can afford a cheap 1g bov than do it..

yea, but who wants to get a bigger turbo and not turn the boost up.and yea i forgot about the little 190.

but support it before you get it. i see too many DSM kids at the track with slow ass 16G setups because they didnt support it for shit.

Get a walbro 255, safc, wide band boost gauge and a front mount. O and a data logger or dsm link.

Uhh you guys are all forgetting a boost gauge LOL.

Im about to run a 16g set up currently
New MLS MHI HG
Arp HeadStuds
3"Catback greddy evo2
2.25"-2.5" apexi N1 DP
Apexi FMIC
Greddy type S BoV
Walboro 255lph HP
850cc Injectors
Fuel Lab AFPR
Porting my o2 housing and exhaust manifold.

I think this is a basic setup you dont need that big injectors and from what I know a walboro190 can max out a 16g turbo. Also for exhaust you can just run straight pipe if you really wanted to for a cheaper build.

But like they said if you want it stock keep it stock. Just throwing a turbo on a car without proper support is just going to cause you more headache than its worth. Supporting mods or No go honestly.

Okay so the first thing I should get, before anything to increase boost is all the fuel system stuff? Will I notice a power increase with all the fuel mods and stock turbo/boost?

And it's embarassing but I don't get the DSMlink at all, I tried to look up like tutorials on it but no idea.. If someone wants to help me on that too that'd be nice.

So far what i've read, I should

Fuel mods (walbro 255, hard intercooler piping, and bigger injectors)
then get a better bov, greddy type S sounds good if I can recirculate it, and boost controller and boost gauge.
Then it's time for a bigger turbo?

Wideband, 1g bov, 255 afpr, link it takes time tuning isnt easy, there is a forum for link and tonnes of support.

Wideband is? And yeah I herad the 1g or the crushed 1g bov is like the best to run, but honestly I do what a little noise outta mine. No i'm not going to go buy a blitz and dump it into the atomosphere, but I'll probably buy a nice recirculated one.

Wideband O2 system that will allow you to monitor the air/fuel ration of your car while driving. This will tell you exactly how rich or how lean the car is running, allowing you to adjust the fuel curve accordingly.

Whoa, that's a cool kit. But is it worth the 640 or whatever to buy it as a kit or would it be cheaper to buy it seperately?

and the A'PEXi AFC Neo, that's for fuel mangement? fuel/air ratio stuff?

Also, off topic, whats a good cheap Boost Gauge? Yeah good and cheap probably don't go together, but any opinions on that?
