I had Evo brembos with the master cylinder and brake booster upgrade. Didnt like the squeal so i removed them.
Now im looking at other brands of BBK and im deciding between two...

First. Anyone heard of Autoanything.com?
they have this on sale.
http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/75A4619A0A0A2587722.aspx
Front stop tech 4 piston calipers. but ill like to throw evo rear calipers on but im concerned on the rear bias.

My other choice was this.
https://www.extremepsi.com/store/product.php?productid=26794&cat=1371&page=1
Now, this is a 6 piston wilwood front caliper. They have a 13 inch option and 14 inch option.
This setup is for the Evo upgrades. But i do have JDM galant knuckles, would that work with my 2g?
And since they are for an Evo, they are designed to with with stock rear brembo calipers correct?

Thanks! Going from brembos to stock, i just cant get used to the low stopping power. I miss it! ha

Brembos r prone to squealing, either kit ur lookin at will b way far greater than stock, the diff between 4 & 6 piston calipers is basically just the distribution of pressure over the pads, resulting in better pedal feel and better pad wear w/ the 6 piston over the 4, n a street application u wont tell a major difference n performance, Stop Tech and Wilwood are both good brands. The bias of a brake system is mostly controlled with the proportioning valve. I believe tht they R&D with the stock rear brakes still on. If the Brembos u had r for an Evo and these r also for an Evo and the Brembos fit u shouldnt have a fitment issue with these

i have to ask... was everything on the brakes lubed properly? i get more complaints for squeaky brakes that end up being improperly lubricated.

the other issue would be pad choice, in which case they need to get more heat in them to prevent the vibration causing the noise to cease.

If thats the case, maybe i will go with stoptech fronts and i can sell my jdm knuckles to help pay it off. i might need a aftermarket proportioning valve. and if i go with wilwood i dont think i will..

and yea, i tried 3 different brake pads. last one being hawk, and 3 different rotors. used brake grease on all contact points, used the red stuff and some other kind of grease, tried it all.

Another option would be the 3000gt vr4 stock brakes.
4 piston up front that come off of the 1g 3kgtvr4 with a bracket or jdm galant knuckles and 2 piston rear calipers that come of the 2g 3kgtvr4 with a spacer to set the caliper to the rotor centerline. That set up uses rotors from the 2g 3kgtvr4 so you can buy your rotors in a set. I like that set up better than the 3kgtvr4 with cobra front rotors.

ha, having stoptech or wilwood has a sexier look :p
im leaning towards wilwood more, (not sure if i should do 13 inch or 14 inch. i do alot of spirited riding in the canyons(spinned out of control last night cause my stock brakes couldnt handle it compared to my previous brembo setup))

Now, have you guys know if autoanything is a good site? first time hearing about it from a friend. just making sure.

Yea ive heard of em, they are outta California, been around for a long time, i ordered some accesories for a F-250 i used to have from em, they were cheap and i got my stuff via fed ex pretty quick

Sweet, im in california. Might go with stoptech since itll be a cheaper option. (since i can sell my JDM knuckles) Just curious about rear bias if i run brembos. Dont wanna go with a aftermarket proportioning valve.

Yeah, i was thinking about.. since the stoptech for the 98 2g are meant to work with stock rear. if i change that, i wasnt sure if it would make a difference cause the extra stopping power. But i mean the front will be 4 pistions compared to 2 pistons stock.

Reason i wanted to go with willwood front evo upgrade cause those are meant for rear brembos.

Ha, sick! imma call autoanything and see if they can get me the stoptech in gray or black.

My vote goes to TCE brakes as well. He is still active in our community and has kits designed specifically for our cars rather than just making a kit of what "fits" on them.
