BIG 16g or T3/T4

ok...i just bought a big 16g Turbo off my friend and the installation kit...the night before we were going to put it in, another one of my friends calls me up and says dont put it in...sell it...and get a T3/T4 turbo...but, i would have to buy the manifold with the external wastegate obviously...i have an injen intake right now...my question is...is it worth the trouble to sell the big 16g and the installation kit? will i have to sell my intake also because it might be a 3" inlet? (my friend said i could just buy something to make up for the 3" inlet of the T4 turob) and LAST, can i get into low 13s with my big16g with just 3" exhuast, injen intake, boost controller, blow off valve, and i guess i would have to pay for an AFC? please help

ok you are going to need to shell out some cash if you want the T3/T4. you will have to have a super afc and some 660's. I don't think you can get the full effect of it with some 550's a 16G can max out 550's. The 16G will be able to get you into the 13's and people have gone 12's on 16G.

Bad info there.

You will need some bigger injesctors yes, but 550's are plenty for a 16G. I ran 12.5's on Big 16G with 550's.

T3/T4 is what I have now and you will need some 720's to keep the duty cycle ok.

Either one you will need a Fuel pump, MAYBE an ajustable FPR, and S-AFC and some sort of logging or tuning device.

This is just a SHORT list.

It all depends on where you want to go. Don't do what I did and buy things twice. Buy once so it is less if you decide to upgrade turbos.

Have you looked at the tuning guide on this board? It can give you a good baseline to walk.

Keep the 16g...low 13's should be no problem with the 16.

12.5s is about middle of the road for a 16G. They can go faster, and if they do, they need more fuel.

I ran 12.2 and 118mph with my Evo big 16G. I maxed out my 550s at that boost level.
