.50 trim? or t3/t4?

Hey guys in the market for turbo and got my mind set on a t3/t4 set up for my 1g. The one thing i am confused about is what is the difference between a t3/t4 and a .50 trim? How can i tell the difference and which one could I go with? Need some help?
