Edmonton,
Total newbie to the performance side of the DSM world seeks straight forward parts list for proper support of a Big 16G EVO 3 into a stock rebuilt 1990 tsi AWD 5SPD. I recently purchased yet another talon this one came home on a trailer and in several boxes as do most the cars in my collection. But it also came with the 16G in a box . Other than 3" exhaust there are no mods on the car and I am only doing a factory spec rebuild on the motor. I would like to set this car up to properly support and use this turbo but can not find a cut and dried list of supporting mods required to put this package together for a very steetable application no dragracing intended . The kid who had this car knew even less than I do and was no help at all. I would really appreciate anyones advice with this one ...I am very mechanically inclined and a Journeyman Millwright but will be the first to admit I am totally ignorant to the tuner side of these cars .

if you have the evo 3 turbo just bolt it up. you do not need to modify anything.

ok the packing slip reads
"TD05H Big 16G Evo 3 GT Turbo Turbocharger EVO III" and maybe not a cut and dried list but surely someone with previous experience could come up with a list of what worked for them

And I realize mechanicaly this turbo fits but there is more to a proper instanation than just bolting it on I'm looking for the required mods list such as what Injectors, pump, fuel management, boost control ect. ect.

go with 550s, even 660s injectors, 190 walbo fuel pump, apex safc, and a manual boost controller your stock side mount will support, and you will be fine.

full 3"exhaust, fmic with 2.5" piping, evo3 ex. housing, 2g maf(or MAFT), walboro 190, 550s or 650s, logger and guages, safc, clutch, nice set of plug and wires. that will pretty much do it

Right on guys thank you all so much that is exactly what i wanted to hear I have been getting alot of conflicting info from unreliable sources .. glad to find this forum, loads of great info
