I just got my palm in and was wondering what some of you guys did to mount it, any suggestions would b helpful.
Thanx
o yea and its on a 1G but i guess its not that big of a difference

I used velcro. Kinda ghetto I know, but it works and I can take the palm out of the car. Damn theives won't get MY palm...LOL.

Got a magnetic cell phone holder from Belkin for $5 at wall mart, its magnetic base clips into a vent and you 2 way tape a little oval piece of flat metal to teh back of the palm. Better than the pin type b/c your palm still lays flat on a desk.

I made an aluminum bracket and mounted it to one of the trim screws behind the trim panel between the cluster section and the HVAC section of the dash. I trimmed the thin panel in a few areas and put it back in, so it still looks good. I just used velcro to hold the palm to the aluminum. I tried the Belkin cell phone holder and it wasn't sturdy enough for me.

My costum made PDA holder . I used S.S. to make it . I also bead blasted it to give it a matte finish. I used 3m industrial strength duble sided sticky tape to mount it to the counsle . The tape is super stong ( it'll suport up to 5lbs.) . I highly recomend it.

thanx for all the feedback and ideas, im still debating on what to do though

Just slide the Palm cover into the slit between the top of the center vent and the dash. You'll have to wiggle it around a little, but it slides right in, and slides out when you're done using it. The cable to the palm can be secured by squeezing it under the little tab that is used to open the coin stash bin. That way you won't accidentally pull the cable out when shifting gears.

cant do that, i have a M505, the cover flips to the side, also i have a dual gauge pod in place of my vent

Put it right where Ralli_Art_GSX has it. just to the right of the tachometer. It's easy to see that way and is out of the way of everything else.

the main problem I have is getting the cable to stay plugged in.. even if I mount it someplace good the cable still falls off!

I know you said that your's is a 1g, but check out P8ntBalla's gallery. I think i'm going this route.
