I've been using good ole hydraulic jack and stands or just a scissor jack.
Are those tire ramps any better? seems you'd get a bit more height with less hassle.
I searched on Ebay for them but apparently I don't know their proper name because I cannot find any. Also was wondering if they post a problem give the ground clearance of the cars. I'd feel better with wheel ramp stands..seems more stable to me. Any input on the best ways to get some good lift on the car..Ideally I'd like to get high enough safely to get a creaper under. I'll spend some $$ if needed

I tried to do a search but I just get errors at the moment.

I can't drive up a ramp becuase I'll scrape the front bumper and my IC. I just use a 2 1/2 ton hydro at the jack points.

The ramps dont work for our cars because of the incline on them. I have always used a jack and jack stands with no complaints.

After looking around I *might* just buy a welder(wich I wanted anyhow) and fab up a long 2 or 3 piece ramp. Nice gradual up and long enough to drive the whole car up on. I hate screwing around with jacks and stands . It might seem a bit unusual. Has anyone done this? It seems a better solution, I could be wrong.

It's going to have to be a quite gradual angle, if you decide to build that ramp. I have to jack the car onto 4x4 blocks before I can get a jack underneath it enough to lift it for jackstand placement. My ride height is about 90mm.

I use rhino ramps and just place a few pieces of wood right before the ramp to get the car high enough so that it doesn't scrape. If you need to get 4 wheels off the ground, jackstands are the way to go.

I crushed my jackpoint with a floor jack one day, use the scissor jack there, but put the shoe on a real jack more to the interior where the tub frame is.
if i ever blow my front right tire im fuxored

Rhino Ramps work swell on the stock front-end. FWD should be able to get up ramps just fine. If you have clearance issues, use some boards to ease the transition. Take the most care in coming back down.

They go on sale at Kragen for $20, almost all the time.

walla you can have ramps with thatever angle you want...

I do own some 3 ton metal ramps and to get on them with the talon I have to put a 2"x12" piece in front of them.

I use ramps with a 2 x 6 at the start so the front end does not hit the ramp. Goes up just fine. I have stock front end though. :laser:
