Best way to cut braided lines.

Here ya go fella's. This is a picture of the braided line that was cut by the company, not me. Even still, you can see the diameter of the rest of the line and then the fitting. Keep in mind that the fitting necks down. Yes, it has a lil ridge thing in there. It's NOT threaded like you can just screw it on. Just have to push it on. So if ya'll think this is easy to install, go out and buy it, I wanna see ya do it.....

Yes! that pic seems to show it pretty damn good. My one connector is just like that. Even with the tape off, and oiling the hell outta the everything, there is just no way to get the line in there with the steel braid, you can only get in the rubber line. The other connector, however, is no problem (still had to use oil and a bit of force but thats how it should be). And yes, from slowboy , go figure. I'll try to CALL them tomorrow and see if I can do anything or get anything out of it, though I highly doubt it, they probably hate me by now.

V8s_are_slow, actually looking closer, it looks like yours may fit? Try taking the tape off and and making sure there is no fraying (snip off any ones giving you a hard time), find some kind of lubricant, silicone, oil, wd-40, anything really that works as a lubricant and put it all over the end of the line and inside of the connector, then you have to kind of gently twist it in on an angle with some force (I guess this is the best way to describe it). You may not get it perfect and see some of the braids bend or twist or whatnot, but it shouldn't be anything major (as in, no sharp fraying edges should be protruding out once all tightened).

Perhaps you just got a defective fitting. I just installed the SBR fpr kit and sure it was a pita but I managed to get them on, and this was my first time dealing with SS line. One of the fittings they sent me was a straight, (they claim you should have 1 straight and 1 90 degree, but the picture on their site shows 2 90 degrees.) I didn't want to send them the straight and have them send me back the 90 degree because that would be 8 to 10 days. I ended up ordering a 90 from Jegs, (this was just there own brand cheapy) but the quality seemed better than the ones SBR sent and the line went in quite a bit easier.
Also one of the Orings they sent me was too big and I ended up ordering a pack of Aeromotive Orings from Jegs.
I've always had good luck with SBR on everything except this FPR SS kit.

Thats interesting because its only the straight fitting that Im having the problem with. The 90 degree fitting is fine.

Basically at this point I would need a new steel braided line, and a 90degree fitting (since for some reason the straight fittings dont work with the braided lines? or maybe I was just send the wrong size?), which like kanderson pointed out, is actually what it is supposed to be I guess?

If you need that 90 degree fitting Jeg's has them for like $12. the shipping is kind of high at $10. but that includes 2 day delivery.
