Hey guys what's up I'm working on a 2g Gsx and I got a decent amount of cosmetic / body work done. I bought the car without the spoiler but it originally Came with the 3 piece spoiler and I would like to properly cover up the holes that where previously there . Any tips/ advice ? Thanks guys

From my understanding best method is to weld them closed than sand and paint.

Cheap way would be to use aluminum tape underneath and than bondo and again sand paint.

I will be doing something similar. I have the 3 piece that I will be deleting and installing the 2gb high rise.

Welding them is tough because of the major warping that will happen in the quarter from the heat, even if your experienced and careful, and then you have pretty good body work to do to fix the warpage, for that reason only I recommend epoxy on the backside with some type of wire mesh to lock it down and then a few layers of dolphin glaze or something similar up top to finish it.

I was worried that since they are such small holes that it gives very little margin for error when welding them shut. To be on the safe side for now I will most likely cover them up with epoxy . Many thanks to all you guys for the help

I was thinking of using some rubber plugs temp... my in my case not painting yet.. saving for it.

Old thread but here’s what I did. Dress up kit for 10mm bolts. Used the factory grommets but I rethreaded them with a 10mm self threading screw. Rtv under the grommets. Opted for this in case I want to go back to full spoiler look.

Another way is using fiber glass underneath and then just bondo on top for a more flush look. Can always revert back.

Yeah unfortunately I wrapped my car last year around the old wing. So would require redoing my quarters again which is something I’ll consider next spring if I decide I like it this way and want a color change.
