Andrew

which eibach and which teins? I was going for the prokit for the spring rate/ ride hieght ratio but I havent looked into tein at all...

I'd go with H&R OE Sports or Tiens. I've always heard great feedback on both. I can't seem to find numbers for either :( sorry

^^^H&R OE Sports^^^

Lower slightly and stiffen like 20%?? I believe.

This car will be a week end car with wheel to wheel racing in mind I may want something stiffer then oe springs...

Then you have to go to coilovers such as ground controls. They ARE stiffer then OE springs by the way. Also blues wont like the real high springrates GC's can dish out.

Heres some rates.
Problem is that spings like the H&R race springs drop cars down about 2 inches negating their higher spring rates and give you a crappy bump stop hitting ride. The O&E spring rates I believe are said to be 20% stiffer then stock and only drop about an inch though there actual rates are NOT listed here for them.

from prostreetonline.com

I was looking around and found information about h&r sports....I am starting to think about getting these what do you guys think, theyll be matched with tockico blues, suspension tech front and rear sways, bushings, and wider better tires. Im kinda torn between the two h&r brands, because Im not worried about ride quality...thanks.
Andrew

H&R sport springs?? as in the 2 inch drop ones. Your ride AND handling will suck. You dont wanna go that low and your shock will not match that low of a drop and high spring rate.

Even if you can deal with the shit ride and the alignment problems, your tokiko hp shocks won't match up well and will die pretty quick. You'll probably need Koni Sports (~$550) with custom valving if you really want to match H&R sports.

yeah they say 1.7 and 1.4....not 2inches, but the hp blues are the same as the illuminas just not adjustable. Im just working around to find the best spring, so far the eibach prokit, h and r, and tein are looking like the ones Im considering.

There actual drop is closer to 2 inches.
The same way prokits say 1.2 inches and actually drop around1.5-2 inches.

found these: http://www.prostreetonline.com/catalog/tokico_shocks/mitsubishi.asp

at the bottom, tockico hp blues and tockico springs tuned for each other. They say 1.5 but they are matched for each other, so I think I will go with these as the hps and teins(cheapest and best combo found yet)are $412 while the tuned kit is $370 so you cant beat a kit that is matched for each other. I dont think I can go wrong with this one thatnks for your help.
Andrew

ps I know about how they say 1.5 and its really something else, sportlines for my civic about 4 years ago claimed 2in but really it was over 2.5inches and yes it rode like shit...

my bro has had the tokico blues and h&r sport for about a year. The ride is great and the handling is also. This is what im choosing to go with.
