Hey guys, my fuel line ended up dry rotting and I had to change it out, but when doing so I ended up breaking the hard line coming out of the fuel pump hanger. :banghead: I know that you can tap the assembly and switch to an AN fitting, but I would prefer to just replace the hanger all together. The problem I'm having is I can't seem to find the right assembly for a 1g fwd as it seems the fuel pump assembly is different on fwd compared to awd. My assembly is located on the rear end of the gas tank under the car instead of under the back seat or near the spare tire. Most of the hangers I find all seem to have 2 hard lines coming out of the assembly, and mine only "had" one.

The car is a 92 1gb fwd turbo talon.
Please let me know if you need anymore pictures or information.
Thanks for the help as always.

Just an advice - when removing rubber lines to replace them, it best to make a slit in the rubber line and peel it off. Good luck with finding a replacement. Hopefully someone has one.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep that in mind for next time. It for sure snapped off from me bending it all around like a dummy. :aha:

@AWD-Tony - the FWD is not a slip-on style rubber line there. Tracking the line I drew in, it's a hard line brazed to the mounting flange / plate. That hard line sweeps around and goes to the compression / flare-style fitting on the end, shown below, to a rubber line with another compression / flare-style fitting on the opposing end that connects with a hardline mounted to the frame of the car.

@AA91 - I do not imagine you'll find one new (went down that road myself about a year ago and no luck whatsoever) so used is going to be about your only option. For a turbo model, yours should be the style that bolts through the bottom of the tank - can you confirm?

I know for a fact that the line I replaced wasn't oem, and was put on by the previous owner, that being said the line that I removed and replaced with was just a standard piece of fuel line. That would explain some confusion from me so thank you for clarifying that. Also yes the assembly bolts to the rear end of the tank under the car facing the rear of the car.

e/ this is what the line looked like before. I was changing it bc the line was leaking gas out of it whenever I would attempt to start the car as you can see in this picture.

Yikes! Glad you're attending to that disaster previous owner's repair!

So your tank does have # 12 in the second diagram (PN MB400209)? I may have one for you if you need it; I'll check this evening.

Edit: Also looks like your pan-hard bar is bent. May straighten that out a bit while you're working in the area.

I believe so Id have to check a little later. It sucks that I can't seem to find the fuel pump hanger that matches mine for sale anywhere. It seems I'm gonna have to do some hard digging to find one sadly.
