Best mounting place for a FMIC

Clearly the correct answer is on your kitchen table, so it never corrodes and you can stare at it during meals.

But seriously how big is the core? You'll probably have to remove your front bumper support. Does the core come with mounting tabs? Is it DSM specific or universal?

I'd say in your flux capacitor, You will hit 88 MPH much faster and be in the future before you know it.
No but honestly, Remove your bumper and remove the support, It should sit right in, Mine sits right up against metal so Ibolted it right to the metal, Just make sure nothing is on the other side.

But all seriousness, you have to remove the bumper and you may have to fab up some brackets to mount it up to the front of the car behind the bumper
